Baseball Outslugs Sailfish For A Win

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University baseball (6-6) team outslugged the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (8-4) to take a 5-3 win at Feinbloom Field on Tuesday evening. The Bucs trailed 3-1 after five innings but scored three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth for the win.
 
Harold Holness started things off for the Bucs in the seventh inning with a walk. The next batter, Drew Dwelly, jacked a homer to left center scoring Holness and tying the game at 3-3. Later in the inning, Chris Leon walked and was driven in for the go ahead run off an Adrian English single.
 
In the eighth, Lyndon Coleman hit a solo homer to left center to add an insurance run and give the Bucs the 5-3 win.
 
T.J. Mullins took the win for Barry. He goes to 1-0 on the year. Jimmy Kelly takes the loss for PBA and moves to 0-1 on the year.
 
The Bucs return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Lander for the first of a three-game set.
