MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.—The Barry University baseball team subdued the St. Thomas Bobcats on Wednesday evening. The Bucs won 12-3 off of 13 hits while holding the Bobcats to only four.

The Bucs struck in the third inning scoring seven runs off of four hits and four St. Thomas errors. Harold Holness reached on a fielding error by the St. Thomas shortstop and took second on a steal. Moments later Holness scored as Drew Dwelly got to third on another error by the shortstop.

Ardian English singled to left, scoring Dwelly, and reached home off a Dean Green thunderous homerun to right field. Two more Bobcat errors, a James Young walk and an Adrian English hit scored Ryan Garcia, Lyndon Coleman, and Young as the Bucs took a 7-0 lead.

The Bucs scored two more in the fourth to take a 9-0 lead. Dwelly singled and came home off a Green double. Green scored next off a deep Garcia double.

The Bobcats put up three runs in the fourth off of two hits to put the score at 9-3, but Barry added one in the seventh and two in the ninth. In the seventh, Chris Leon walked and came home off a Young single. In the ninth, Matt Petty scored off a Young double and Leon scored again, this time off a fielder’s choice.
