Rowing Has Solid Day At Dad Vails
PHILADELPHIA—The Barry rowing team competed in the annual Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa., on Friday and Saturday.   
 
The varsity four boat made up of cox – Savanna Luberto, stroke – Ari Masley, 3 – Jen Feriozzi, 2 – Jamie Gordon, and bow – Rebekah Kilroy competed on Friday, and posted a fourth-place finish. The Bucs collected a time of 08:11.62 while Middlebury won the race with a time of 07:48.50.
 
The Varsity eight crew of cox – Grace Horwitz, stroke – Kelly Harrison, 7 – Vanessa Viadero, 6 – Jaimee Lampard, 5 – Nicole Marek, 4 – Helene Pierre, 3 – Renee Forcier, 2 – Courtney Greene, and bow – Haley Stark raced on Saturday in heat one and took a time of 07:05.63. Barry bested both Philadelphia and Dowling to earn a third place finish and qualify for the final.
 
In the final, Barry finished fifth, but more importantly was the fact that the Bucs beat conference foe Florida Tech with a time of 07:14.61. The mark was over 00:10 seconds better than the Panthers. Both Barry and Florida Tech are competing for an at large bid in the NCAA Finals.
