MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell to North Alabama 5-1 at Buccaneer Field on Sunday in women’s soccer action.
Barry’s Sara Karna tallied a tying goal, just 0:27 second after North Alabama had taken the lead, but the Lions (2-0-0) answered with four straight goals to take the win.
All-American Chloe Roberts had two goals, including both the first goal and the game-winner, and added an assist. Holly Loud, Jamie Takala and Jennifer Osmond also connected for the Lions.
Becca Rogers had eight saves in goal for the Bucs (0-2-0) but was hung with her second loss. Alex McKay had four saves in the win for the Lions.
The Bucs travel to Columbus, Ga., Sept. 9-11 to face the West Georgia Lady Braves and the host Columbus State Cougars next weekend. Live coverage of the game will be available on the Buccaneer website, GoBarryBucs.com.
