PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Barry men's tennis team had a 4-2 lead on Hawai'i Pacific Friday at the White Sands Invitational, but the Seasiders stormed back to win the match, 5-4.

Barry (17-4) picked up a doubles victory from Ollie Lemaitre and Romain Costamagna, who beat Gerald Moretti and Ji Hoon Heo, 8-3, at the No. 3 flight. It was the Bucs' lone doubles win in the match.

Hawai'i Pacific (13-3) led 2-1 after the doubles matches, but the Bucs stormed back to win three singles points and take the lead in the match, 4-2.

No. 11 Marco Mokrzycki knocked off No. 4 Petr Michnev, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) at the top singles flight. Daniel Schmidt beat Moretti, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) at No. 3 singles. Ollie Lemaitre cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 No. 6 victory over Stephan Weling.

But HPU won three three-set matches to hand the Buccaneers a non-conference loss.

Three of Barry's four losses have come against nationally-ranked NCAA Division II teams.

Barry will play UC San Diego Saturday in the final day of the White Sands Invitational.
