WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Barry University's volleyball team polished off its second sweep of the Bash at the Beach tournament hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic Saturday with a 25-12, 25-14, 25-22 win over Claflin.

It bumped the Buccaneers' overall record to 10-7, and dropped Claflin to 12-8.

Barry's Jayla Trombley and Kate Dooley each had 10 kills, Alicia Guerrero finished with seven, Jasmine Serna dished out 33 assists, and Jenni Hiapo had 13 digs. Dooley added five blocks, and had a .625 attack percentage. Guerrero hit .412. Serna had five kills, thrust into a setter's role she likely will inherit on a more permanent basis next season.

The Bucs, which didn't have to use its customary starting unit, improved to 7-2 in neutral site matches after hitting .379. Barry had six blocks, while Claflin managed two.

Barry, which hit .333 or better in all three sets, had 44 kills to Claflin's 27. The Bucs served seven aces compared to Claflin's two.

The Buccaneers return to Sunshine State Conference play Friday when they travel to No. 5 Tampa and Eckerd on back-to-back days, respectively.
