NEW YORK — Barry University women's golf team was ranked tied for fourth in the final Golf World/WGCA Division II College Women’s Coaches’ Poll of the 2012 Fall season.
The Buccaneers tied with Lynn for fourth in the poll.
Barry finished the fall season with a 19-stroke victory at the Flagler Fall Slam as sophomore Nancy Vergara placed second at 2-over 146. Nicky Ferre was fourth at 5-over.
The poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. The complete results, including results from Divisions I and III, will appear in the December 10, 2012 issue of Golf World and are live now:

With the first half of the 2012-13 season completed, Nova Southeastern layed claims to the No. 1 ranking in the final fall Division II coaches' poll. The Sharks won three of their four fall starts, including the Yale Fall Intercollegiate, and finished third at the Lady Paladin Invitational, a primarily Division I event. The defending NCAA champions received 16 of 22 first-place votes.
St. Edward's, with four first-place votes, finished the fall second in the poll, with Rollins claiming the No. 3 spot.
No new teams entered the top 10. One new school joined the top 25: No. 24 Armstrong Atlantic State
