MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry University’s baseball team lost to Florida Tech Sunday afternoon in the series finale, 11-3.

Barry (7-3, 1-2) struggled to find any offense after scoring nine runs in the series opener. Kevin Youst cruised through the first three innings without allowing a hit but the Panthers struck with five runs in the fourth inning to jump out in front.

Florida Tech (8-2, 2-1) added runs in the next three innings to take an 11-0 lead and put the game out of reach.

Adrian English belted a two-RBI double to left-center to put the Bucs on the board in the bottom of the eighth and with the double extended his hitting streak to 10 consecutive games.

Michael Diaz finished 3-for-3 and Connor Oliveri, who entered the game in the seventh inning, finished 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Matthew Garlock pitched three scoreless innings, allowed just one hit and struck out two batters in relief.

Barry steps out of conference on Tuesday to play the Panthers once again, this time in Melbourne, Fla.
