Men's Golf Holds Top Ranking

NEW YORK -- Barry University men's golf team held the No. 1 ranking in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division II national poll.

The Buccaneers received seven of the 17 first-place votes and 399 points. No. 2 South Carolina-Aiken earned one first-place vote and 379 points. West Florida is third with seven first-place votes. Cal State-Monterey Bay, which had two first-place votes, and Columbus State, round out the top five.

Barry won its first two tournaments of the fall, and finished second in another.

The Bucs will open the spring season Feb. 10-11 at the Matlock Collegiate Classic in Lakeland, Fla. Barry hosts the Buccaneer Invitational March 31-Apr. 1 at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach.
