MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry University women’s golf team will open the 2014-15 season Monday Sept. 15 at the Ross Resorts Invitational in Southern Pines, North Carolina, in a tournament hosted by Rollins.

The Buccaneers, which finished second at last year’s NCAA Division II Championships – matching the best finish in the program’s history – will play four fall events before reconvening for the spring season Feb. 1.

The Bucs will also compete in the Guy Harvey Invitational in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at PGA National Golf Club in Nova Southeastern’s tournament Oct. 6-7. Two weeks later, they compete in the Saint Leo Invitational at Lake Jovita Country Club. Barry finishes the fall season Oct. 27-28 at the Flagler Women’s Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla.

After opening the spring season at the World Golf Invitational, also in St. Augustine, Feb. 7-8, Barry will tee it up at the Lady Moc Golf Classic in Lakeland, Fla., for Florida Southern’s annual tournament. On March 2-3, the Buccaneers compete in a second event hosted by Rollins when they shoot for the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational in Winter Springs, Fla. That will mark the second tournament Barry will compete in hosted by the same school. Flagler hosts the first event of the spring.

On March 17-18, the Bucs host the Barry U Women’s Invitational at Don Shula’s Resort in Miami Lakes. This marks the second straight year the Bucs will hold its tournament at Shula’s.

On April 6-7, Barry heads west to compete in the Sonoma State Invitational in Rohnert Park, Calif., at Foxtail Golf Club North Course. The following week, the Bucs will compete in the Sunshine State Conference Championships in the Orlando area, in the third event of the season hosted by Rollins.

This year’s NCAA South/Southeast Regional is set for May 4-6 in Pooler, Ga.
