SUMTER, S.C. -- Barry University’s Linda Fritschken and Emma Onila will play for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Small College Championships doubles title Friday after winning a pair of matches Thursday.

Fritschken and Onila, seeded third, beat Michigan Tech’s Kwang Suthijindawong and Sandra Cvetanovic, 6-1, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. The Buccaneers tandem then beat Southwest Baptist’s second-seeded Fanni Varga and Christina Zentai, 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, 10-2, in the semifinals.

Barry’s duo will play Armstrong Atlantic’s Dora Andrejszki and Lena Lutzeier in the finals at 5 p.m. Friday at Palmetto Tennis Center.

The champion of the eight-region national tournament will earn the right to play for the Super Bowl Championships, which comprises winners of the other small college divisions, including junior college, NAIA and NCAA Division III.

Onila and Fritschken won last year’s title.
