Men's Tennis Hosts No. 9 Augusta State Tuesday

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry men's tennis team will host Augusta State at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Buccaneer Tennis Center.

The Buccaneers are 6-0 and ranked No. 4 in the nation. No. 9 Augusta State, which was scheduled to play at Lynn Monday, headed to South Florida with a 2-3 record.

Barry's doubles team of Ollie Lemaitre and Romain Costamagna are 4-1 this season. Marco Mokrzycki and Fabian Groetsch, the nation's No. 2-ranked tandem, are 3-0. Max Wimmer and Leo Vivas are also 3-0. The Bucs have won 16 of their 18 doubles matches this year.

Wimmer is 6-0 in singles play. Costamagna, Vivas and Eduardo Alfonzo are all 4-0. Ranked 16th in the country, Groetsch is 3-0, as is Alejandro Andino. Barry is 33-3 in singles matches.

The Bucs will hit the road Thursday to play three matches in Valdosta, Ga., Friday-Sunday. Barry meets West Florida, Valdosta State and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College this weekend.
