Quality Education and Mentoring
Barry Computer Science/Computer Information Science (CS/CIS) students will be exposed to the theoretical, technical, practical, ethical, and hands-on, real-world experience with today's exciting and evolving computer technology.
The CS/CIS program is supported by superb faculty, who are committed and outstanding instructors, advisors, and scholars. Our faculty has received several grants from prestigious agencies, such as, NASA and NSA and they are very well respected in their fields.
Small Class Size

At Barry you will find a small student-faculty ratio (13:1) where teaching is our number one priority.
Barry's CS/CIS majors have fared very well in ACM programming contests and national standard tests such as ETS. Many have gone on to pursue successful carriers in large companies such as IBM or local companies such as Citrix. One of our alumni started his own successful company (ADVANSIS). Other alumni went to pursue graduate studies in prestigious schools, including Carnegie-Mellon, NYU, Stanford, John Hopkins, and Northwestern University.
Ninety two percent (92%) of our graduates rate the education received at Barry as Above Average or Excellent. Eighty eight percent (88%) of those who have responded indicate that they are either working in their field or attending graduate school. Thirty nine percent (39%) of the students have attended graduate school.
