ADSOE students travel to FFEA National Conference

Four students from the Adrian Dominican School of Education’s class of 2013 traveled to Orlando in April for the Future Florida Educators of America (FFEA) National Conference. Maranda Barretto, Alexis Garcia, Diana Lizarralde and Tiffany Noel joined ADSOE professors, Dr. DiBello and Dr. Perkins, at the conference.

FFEA is an international student organization that supports young people interested in careers in education.

During the conference, the ADSOE students participated in FFEA breakout sessions. The pre-service teachers shared their stories and experiences, reflected upon their journeys, and shared their plans to serve their communities as teachers. In addition, they had an opportunity to learn strategies for success in undergraduate teacher preparation program.

The four students, who are part of the five-year program to attain their Master of Education, presented alongside their professors on their topic: “Learn/Reflect/Serve: A Mission for Success in Teacher Preparation.”
