Fanjeaux, France: A photographic slideshow

Fanjeaux, France: A photographic slideshow

The Barry community is invited to a photographic slideshow presentation titled “Fanjeaux, France: Birthplace of the Dominican Order.”  The slideshow, which is part of Barry’s Peace Month activities, will feature photographs of the village of Fanjeaux and neighboring locations such as Prouille, Albi, Toulouse and Carconsonne, which were notable to the founding of the Dominican Order in southern France.

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013

5:30 – 7 p.m.

Gato Gallery – Thompson Hall (reception to follow)

The photographs are the work of Carlos Paillacar, an award-winning photographer and Barry student who attended the summer 2013 trip to Fanjeaux. The slideshow is a stunning visual portrait of the birthplace of the Dominican Order and helps to convey what makes the Fanjeaux Summer Program such a transformative experience.
