About the Presentation

Join author Lily Prellezo and aviator-activist Jose Basulto as they share their experiences as Cuban-Americans and discuss Prellezo’s book Seagull One: The Amazing True Story of Brothers to the Rescue. Basulto founded the Miami-based Cuban exile organization Brothers to the Rescue, which flew hundreds of missions over the sea to spot and save Cuban rafters fleeing their homeland in the 1990s. This month marks the 20th anniversary of the shooting down of two Brothers to the Rescue planes by the Cuban military.
