PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT - UNIVERSITY MALL AREA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ATTENTION BARRY COMMUNITY:
Beginning this Friday, July 13, 2012, the construction boundaries around the NE 2nd Avenue entrance and the University Mall will expand to include the parking areas along NE 2nd Avenue in front of Kelley House and Adrian Hall.
- Faculty and staff who usually park in that area are asked to use the NE 111th Street entrance and TEMPORARILY park by Browne/Sage/D&D.
- Faculty and staff who park in the gated lot south of Wiegand and O’ Laughlin are asked to use the NE 115th Street entrance; the Exit gate just west of O’ Laughlin will be open for the duration of the construction to make that parking area accessible.
- Visitors will be directed to the NE 111th Street entrance then around the interior campus road to where Visitor Parking will be designated in the spaces nearest to Kelley House. Visitors may then utilize the sidewalks to the east of Kelley House to go to the front door. Employees, please do not park in Visitor designated spaces!
- Sidewalks on the mall will remain accessible during construction – only the roadway will be blocked off.
We will continue to provide any necessary updates during the construction, and notify the Barry Community of the date that the entrance will be re-opened.
