Fanjeaux Summer Experience 2013 - deadline extended

Fanjeaux Summer Experience 2013 - deadline extended

The applications deadline has been extended until Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013

Barry University fosters learning opportunities that enhance understanding of our Catholic and Dominican heritage. Please encourage your students and colleagues to apply for this transformational summer experience.

Each summer, select students, faculty, staff, and administrators who study and work at Dominican colleges and universities in the United States travel to the small village of Fanjeaux, in southwestern France.

From May 28 – June 13, 2013, you can spend mornings studying and the afternoons on field trips, learning about Dominican and medieval French history and tradition. Knowledge of the French language is not necessary. The seminar is organized for all Dominican Colleges and Universities by Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Students receive 3 credit hours upon completion of the course.

For applications, questions, or for more information regarding the Fanjeaux Summer Experience, please contact Greta L. Moncayo at gmoncayo@mail.barry.edu or call 305-899-4582. From the applications one student and one faculty/staff member will be chosen to represent Barry at the summer experience. The program cost for these individuals will be covered; however, airfare and spending money will be the responsibility of the attendees.

Applications must be completed and delivered to Thompson Hall 202/203 or by email at gmoncayo@mail.barry.edu by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.
