MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry softball team closed out the regular season with a doubleheader sweep of the Eckerd Tritons at Buccaneer Field on Saturday, winning 10-2 in six innings and 2-0 in the finale.

In the first game, Britney Pugh (7-5) pitched a complete game and belted a walk-off home run in the sixth to lead the Bucs to victory.

Pugh had a shutout going until the fifth inning as Barry (32-18, 19-5 SSC) built an 8-0 lead. The Bucs scored four in the first. The Bucs loaded the bases with no outs. Julie Brito drew a walk to force in Natalia Ojeda. Kelly Martinez singled off the pitcher Lindsay Rohrbach (6-9) to drive in Megan Copeland. Sarah Broeseker scored on a ground out by Pugh and Brito came home on a sacrifice fly by Alexis Kent.

In the fourth, Ashley Fernandez belted a leadoff homer. Ojeda and Copeland followed with singles. Broeseker drove in two with a double into right field. After a wild pitch, Brito lifted a sacrifice fly to bring Broeseker home.

In the fifth, the Tritons (19-37, 4-20 SSC) finally broke through against Pugh. Chelsea Jeffares singled with one out and stole second. Kara Oberer knocked her in with a single and Kaycie Duncan followed with an RBI single to plate Oberer.

But Pugh had the last word. With pinch runner Kate Hehre at second, Pugh lifted an 0-1 pitch from Nazley Wilson over the wall in left to end the game.

Copeland led the Bucs with three hits and scored twice. Ojeda, Broeseker, Martinez and Pugh each had a pair of hits. Pugh drove in three, while Brito had two RBI. Wilson gave up two runs on two hits in two innings.

In the finale, Alexis Yohe carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning, before settling for a two-hit shutout. She struck out seven without issuing a walk.
