About the program:
Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to apply for the Fanjeaux France Summer Program 2014. One student and one faculty/staff member will be chosen to receive a scholarship that covers the program cost of the trip. Students will receive three transfer credits from Dominican University upon completion of the course and required documentation.
The Fanjeaux Summer Program for Dominican Colleges and Universities is an international experience that brings together students, faculty, staff, and administrators from Dominican Colleges and Universities. The program takes place in the medieval hilltop town where St. Dominic’s vision of an order devoted to seeking and sharing the truth took shape from 1206 to 1216.
Mornings are spent in seminar for faculty/staff and study for students, afternoons in excursions to historic sites in southern France with a focus on places significant in the early history of the Order of Preachers. As a community of learners, participants will enjoy simple living and good meals at the Belvedere, a Dominican guest-house. Program concludes with four nights in Paris. The program is coordinated by Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois.
The 2014 Fanjeaux program dates are May 27 to June 12, 2014.
