The Essentials of Mindful Living Series

The Department of Campus Ministry and the Division of Human Resources invite the Barry community to a three-part series to learn the Essentials of Mindful Living.

Participants will learn a practical process to move from emotional reactivity to wise response through an exploration of mindfulness and gratitude.  This series is appropriate for beginners as well as for participants of the 21-Day Mindfulness Challenge who want to refresh some of their skills as well as learn new ones.

Participants may choose between the following two class times:

  • Wednesdays (May 13, 20, 27) | 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
(Room number available when you register)
  • Thursdays (May 14, 21, 28) | 12:00-1:00 p.m.
(Room number available when you register)

Research has shown that mindfulness and gratitude can improve emotional well-being, boost immune functioning, and help you sleep better.

Participants will receive a daily email which will provide a teaching and practice on mindful living. Participants are expected to do daily “homework” during the two week duration of the workshop series.

Register at the Faculty and Staff Training Calendar by clicking "Enroll" and finding the Essentials of Mindful Living on the dates you would like to register. Please note that you need to register on all three separate dates to get credit for attendance.
