Barry University will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Feb. 22 by hosting more than 60 young women from the SEED School of Miami. This is the third year Barry has hosted the group as part of NGWSD.
The SEED School of Miami is a college-preparatory, public boarding school for South Florida students. Their mission is to provide an outstanding educational program that empowers students to be successful, both academically and socially, in college and beyond.
In addition to participating in activities with student-athletes and attending the women’s basketball game, SEED students will have an opportunity to hear from Barry alumna Natalie M. Bieule (’11), an accomplished Paralympic athlete.
