As the COVID-19 vaccination rollout progresses and guidance from public health authorities evolves, we are pleased to announce changes to protocols at all University locations, effective immediately.
In alignment with CDC recommendations, face coverings are no longer required at Barry University campuses and sites for individuals who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Additionally, anyone who is fully vaccinated is no longer required to quarantine after travel or confirmed exposure to COVID-19.
If you are not fully vaccinated, the following guidelines still apply:
- Face coverings are required at all Barry University locations with very limited exception (refer to the Back to Barry Health & Safety webpage)
- You must complete a daily symptom self-check prior to coming to any Barry University location
- You are requested to self-quarantine after travel (refer to the Faculty & Staff and Student sections of the Back to Barry website)
- You are required to complete a COVID-19 Initial Notification Form if you have been exposed to COVID-19
All members of the University community must still complete a COVID-19 initial notification form if they are experiencing symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
In addition to these welcome steps toward a return to “normal,” we are excited to share that we are planning for a return to full capacity at all Barry University locations for Fall 2021, pandemic conditions permitting.
Please visit the updated Back to Barry website for more information about protocols and plans for Fall 2021.
