Tanya Johnson named new Clinical Services Manager of the Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center

The Department of Counseling in the Adrian Dominican School of Education has named Tanya Johnson, LMHC, NCC, DCC, as the new clinical service manager of the Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center.

In her now position as clinical services manager, Johnson will manage the center’s daily operation and help the master’s students track their practicum and doctoral internship hours. She will oversee the general operations of the clinic including the scheduling of clients and counselors-in-training.

Johnson joins the Barry community after most recently serving at Aventura Hospital where she worked in the inpatient psychiatric unit assisting people with severe mental illness through group and family therapy.

Prior to her position at Aventura Hospital, Johnson worked in Dallas in a similar capacity. She is also a doctoral student at Barry and a distance certified counselor which allows her to counsel via the internet. She holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Utah and M.S. in counseling fromLiberty University.
