Although WBRY is primarily an undergraduate enterprise, station manager and marketing director positions are open to qualified graduate students as well as to undergraduates.

Station Manager

Undergraduate tuition remission of 10% per semester and/or federal work study - if applicable - or volunteer.
  • Responsible for all aspects of WBRY operations.
  • Supervises WBRY management staff.
    Serves as contact for campus groups and organizations.
  • Serves as contact between WBRY and external organizations.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • One year previous experience at WBRY in any capacity is preferred.
Promotions Director

Undergraduate tuition remission of 10% per semester and/or federal work study - if applicable - or volunteer.
  • Responsible for promoting WBRY on and off campus.
  • Increase WBRY's presence on campus and in the community, both for on-air programming and for entertainment services
  • Coordinate WBRY's social media outreach
  • Recruit, train and supervise promotions staff
  • Promotional experience.
  • Experience with event management
  • Previous experience at WBRY in any capacity is preferred.

Program Director

Reports to the Station Manager

Federal work study - if applicable - or volunteer.

  • Responsible for on-air operations of WBRY
  • Plan programming schedule
  • Recruit, train and supervise on-air DJs
  • Ensure that automation schedules are operating properly each day
  • Catalogues and loads new music
  • Compile required station logs for BMI, including music, commercials, & PSAs
  • Familiar with radio station and recording studio equipment.
  • Previous experience at WBRY is mandatory.
  • DJ experience preferred.
News Director

Possible undergraduate tuition remission of 10% per semester and federal work study, if applicable, or volunteer.
  • Supervises production of WBRY newscasts
  • Recruit, train, and supervise reporters
  • One semester working with WBRY News is preferred.
Assistant News Director

Reports to the News Director.
Federal work study or volunteer.
  • Production of WBRY newscasts.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise reporters
  • Must be familiar with broadcast news writing.
Field Events Coordinator

Reports to the Station manager. Federal work study or volunteer.
  • Inventories and secures all DJ equipment.
  • Supervises delivery of entertainment at events contracted for by WBRY.
  • Functions as event DJ as needed.
  • Supervise equipment set-up prior to an event and breakdown after.
  • Conduct/supervise DJ operation during events.
  • Knowledge of DJ equipment and its maintenance.
  • Field DJ experience.
  • One semester experience with WBRY Entertainment Services preferred.
WBRY Staff—Three positions

Reports to area supervisor.
Federal work study or volunteer.
  • Provides support to assigned operating areas.
  • Appropriate to corresponding area.
