Dr. Ian B. Quamina is currently an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Development and a proud alum of Barry University’s PhD in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Human Resource Development. Dr. Quamina is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and holds a Master's in Social Work with specialization in Employee Assistance Programs from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a minor in Human Resource Management from the University of West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad. His professional and research interests include employee assistance programs, work and family life issues, policy development, program evaluation, individual and organizational capacity building. Dr. Quamina is a committee member of ADSOE’s Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) initiative and co-chair of Barry Urban Garden (BUG), a sub-committee of Barry’s Ecological Sustainability Team.
