Dr. Jean McAtavey joined Barry in 2008. She holds a PhD in Global Corporate Leadership from Lynn University, a Master's in Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor's in Education from Boston College. Dr. McAtavey is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the Organizational Learning and Leadership Program as well as the Program Director for the EdD Program. Dr. McAtavey has a strong commitment to education and enjoys helping students set and attain goals. She is the liaison between ADSOE and the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED).
Her work in career development and executive coaching has been featured on WPTV's Channel 5/ Power Profile, as well as in the Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel newspapers. She has published many scholarly articles on various topics including women entrepreneurs, mentoring, coaching and succession planning. Her research areas are career development, leadership, evaluation, improvement science, doctoral education, change and coaching.
