Luis Conde, PhD

Dr. Luis Conde is a native of Angola, Africa, with extensive experience in the field of exceptional student education, both at the K-12 and higher education levels. Throughout his career, he has taught in the continents of Africa, Europe and North America, and is currently a member of Barry University's School of Education faculty, in the Exceptional Student Education Graduate program. Over the last four years, Dr. Conde has conducted professional development workshop series for practicing teachers, administrators and school psychologists at a private Portuguese university. Dr. Conde is also a certified Clinical Trainer and in that role, trains teachers to host and mentor teacher interns. Dr. Conde has presented extensively at the state, national and international levels. He is an advocate for exceptional student education and rights. Dr. Conde holds a Bachelor degree in Physical Education, a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education, a Master degree in Varying Exceptionalities and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Special Education. In his leisure time, he loves to kayak, travel, garden and spend time with his family.
