Yes, we are reviewing applications for test-optional acceptance. Freshmen domestic students have to opt-in either when they apply, or if they have already applied.
We will work closely with students and schools in the event cancellations or the suspension of activities result in processing difficulties for final transcripts and end-of-year examinations and tests. Yes, you can speak with a Transcript Evaluator for an informal transfer credit session. He or she will provide you with an unofficial evaluation of your unofficial transcript during one of the upcoming Undergraduate Transfer Days.
If those days are not convenient to you, you may work directly with a Transcript Evaluator to schedule a conversation at a mutually convenient time.

To meet the needs of students who are unable to take the GRE® General Test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering a GRE General Test at home option in selected areas. The test is identical in content, format and on-screen experience to the GRE General Test taken at a test center.

No, we will work with you and your school and you will not be penalized for events outside of your control.
We are still processing and mailing I-20 forms. You should begin the visa application process as soon as you receive your I-20 as we anticipate some students may encounter delays in visa processing.
The U.S. Department of State recently announced that visa services have been temporarily suspended at all U.S. embassies and consulates. We don't know how long this will last but we will continue updating you with the latest information.
Please be in contact with your nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to ensure you can schedule your visa interview when visa services resume.
If you can’t get a visa to enter and start this fall, you can start your program virtually and enter in the spring for face-to-face instruction if you are able to secure your visa.
We recognize that it may be difficult to submit all required application materials due to school closures. We will take unofficial transcripts.
We will accept unofficial transcript evaluations from NACES with emailed transcripts. You may be provisionally admitted. You will need to submit official transcripts within your first semester at Barry. Please check with the NACES evaluator for further details on their accommodations.
These two NACES evaluation companies are accepting online payment, application, and credentials:

- Per Josef Silny, if the you email your evaluation application, credentials and credit card payment, they will complete a preliminary evaluation based on photocopies. A final evaluation will be completed upon receipt of official original academic credentials. When the official document is received, the evaluation will be revised at no additional cost to the applicant.
We will accept the Duolingo English Test in place of the TOEFL or IELTS to fulfill the English proficiency requirement.

Our Financial Aid Office has authority to use professional judgement to make adjustments on a on a case-by-case basis. They can adjust the cost of attendance or data elements, such as income, used in calculating the Expected Family Contribution to reflect a student's special circumstances. Financial Aid TV (FATV): A collection of short videos covering topics such as personal finance, the financial aid process, and types of financial aid. The video library is available 24/7 and you can search by keyword and browse by category. There are videos in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Chinese. No registration needed.
Ask Bucky Chatbot: Barry's Financial Aid website has feature called “Ask Bucky”, a chatbot that provides you with extra help. Answers to most of your financial aid questions are available 24/7, at your fingertips.
