About the Lecture:
Join Rev. Roberto M. Cid as he presents the life of Argentine businessman Enrique E. Shaw, who sought to instill the principles of Catholic social teaching in the workplace. The life of this father and businessman shows us that by relying on the grace of God and sound business practices, it is possible to be both successful in the business world and holy. In an age marked by a deep anthropological crisis that affects the workplace, labor relations, business practices, and economic policy Shaw’s testimony is not only relevant to the 21st century, but urgently needed.
About the Speaker:
Rev. Roberto M. Cid is a priest in the Archdiocese of Miami. He is director of Pax Catholic Communications and WAAC 830 AM – Radio Paz, chaplain of the Stella Maris Center at the Port of Miami, and administrator of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Miami Beach. He holds an accounting degree from the University of Buenos Aires, and an MBA and PhD in economics from the University of Miami. He has taught graduate-level accounting and economics in the United States, Argentina, Ivory Coast, and Cameroon.
