MS in ESE with a Specialization in Autism

This program is designed for teachers who are already certified in exceptional student education and want to teach students with autism (K-12).

Core Autism Endorsement Requirements 12 credits

  • ESE 527A Management of Students with Emotional and/or Behavioral Disorders: Focus on Autism
  • ESE 583A Educational Assessment of Students with Exceptionalities: Focus on Autism
  • ESE 673 Nature and Needs of Students with Autism
  • ESE 683 Instructional Strategies for Students with Autism: Technical and Communication Interventions

Additional Requirement courses 15 credits

  • ECT 678 Technology Applications in Exceptional Student Education
  • EDR 601 Methodology of Research
  • ESE 581 Learning Strategies for Exceptional Student Education
  • ESE 665 Collaborative Consultation and Inclusive Practices in ESE
