Fraternities and sororities stick to strong codes of academic achievement, mutual respect, and community involvement.
Leadership, service, and friendship are at the heart of Greek life. When you join a fraternity or sorority, you make a commitment to strive for excellence. As you rush, or go through the recruitment process, you learn more about the chapters to see which one is right for you.
Greek life includes all types of students who are dedicated to service and motivated to succeed.
Our Greek organizations devote themselves to service, supporting national causes from HIV/AIDS and breast cancer awareness, to leading organizations such as St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Alzheimer's Association. For example, the women of Alpha Phi sponsored Cardiac Care Week, in which they planned a charity volleyball tournament, health fair, and stylish Red Dress Gala, raising more than $2,500 for women's health. Now that's dedication!
Once you pledge and are initiated, your fraternity brothers and sorority sisters help you to realize your potential. Most offer tutoring sessions, leadership retreats, and cool social events including dances and beach trips.
When you "go Greek," you also join a network of alumni that can lead to scholarship opportunities and influential mentors.
