Benefits Of Going Greek
The benefits to joining the long tradition of a fraternity or sorority really add up. Besides committing to excellence, service, leadership, respect, and reaching your fullest potential, you'll have the support, tutelage, camaraderie, and networks of your fellow members, during school and afterward (helpful during your career). Plus, you have the chance at scholarships and proving the stereotypes wrong. As you go through the recruitment process, you'll learn which fraternity or sorority is best for you.
Serious About Service
Our Greek organizations really do serve their fellow man, supporting national causes like HIV/AIDS, breast cancer awareness, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Alzheimer's Association, and Cardiac Care Week. As an example, the women of Alpha Phi organized a charity volleyball tournament, health fair, and Red Dress Gala, raising over $2,500 for women's health. Give them a round of applause please, and then take it a step further; get involved yourself.
