Barry alumna Diane Amado-Tate named Chief Nursing Officer at Doctors Hospital

Diane Amado-Tate, class of 2004 alumna of Barry University’s Graduate Health Management Programs in the College of Health Sciences was named Chief Nursing Officer at Doctors Hospital. 

Amado-Tate, who has 22 years of experience in the nursing field, worked as an assistant vice president of nursing at South Miami Hospital before being promoted. In her position, she managed nursing staff and patient care in the Heart Center, Emergency Center, Critical Care Unit, and Respiratory and Pulmonary departments.

Amado-Tate obtained her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Hunter College in New York and earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix.

“Diane was an exceptional student who performed well in all of her courses; we are ‘Barry’ proud to call her one of our own,” said Dr. Evelio Velis, Program Director and Associate Professor of Barry’s Graduate Health Management Programs.
