Barry ranked top 50 in nation affordable Colleges in Health Care Management

Barry University’s Health Sciences Administration program was ranked among the top 50 in the nation as one of the most affordable selective Colleges in Health Care Management. In a TopMastersInHealthcare.com article written by Kelley Jacobs, in July of this year, Barry was recognized for its leadership and management focus in Health Care Administration. Healthcare Management encompasses a wide variety of positions and settings within the healthcare field.

“I am honored and greatly appreciate this external validation that emphasizes the value of our program and the recognition received,” said Dr. Evelio Velis, program director. “We all are Barry proud that our program and University are recognized nationally.”

Barry ranked number 43 in their list highlighting the 50 most affordable selective colleges for a healthcare management degree in 2015, between Concordia University in St. Paul, MN and Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.

This list contained institutions of higher education offering bachelors and/or master’s degrees in the health care management field. They selected four-year institutions accepting less than 60 percent of applicants and narrowed the list down to those with the lowest net tuition rate and developed a points system used to rank the schools. Schools received points based on their student/faculty ratio, net tuition, and retention rate (based upon percentage of full time freshman students who returned for their sophomore year).
