Program Overview: Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Histotechnology

This program is designed to be as flexible and as convenient as possible to provide a schedule that allows students to continue maintaining personal and professional responsibilities while earning a post-baccalaureate certificate in histotechnology.

Classes are scheduled from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weeknights. A five-month internship at clinical affiliate sites in in South Florida is required for successful completion of the program.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the program requires a bachelor’s degree in biology or related field, or a bachelor’s degree in another field along with successful completion at the undergraduate level of 12 credits in biology (general biology with lab, anatomy and physiology with labs), eight credits in chemistry (general chemistry with lab and introduction to biochemistry and organic chemistry with labs) and six credits of college-level math (statistics and pre-calculus).
