Program Overview: Bachelor of Science in Clinical Biology with a Specialization in Histotechnology

This degree program is designed to be as flexible and as convenient as possible to provide a schedule that allows students to continue maintaining personal and professional responsibilities while earning a bachelor of science degree.

Classes are scheduled from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weeknights. A five-month internship at clinical affiliate sites in South Florida is required for successful completion of the program.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the program requires a minimum of 12 credit hours in biology (general biology with lab, anatomy and physiology with labs), eight credits in chemistry (general chemistry with lab and introduction to biochemistry and organic chemistry with labs) and six credits of college-level math (algebra and statistics).

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits of up to 64 credits from a regionally accredited community college and an additional 26 upper level credits from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized university are accepted.

Internships

Histotechnology internships are offered at clinical affiliate sites throughout South Florida.
