Academic Success

  • In the Spring 2013 term, 70.8 %  of all student-athletes had both a term and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Fall 2012 term, 74.3% of all student-athletes had both a term and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • 299 scholar All-Americans, including 48 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in 29 years
  • Anna Hallbergson (2000) and Marya Morusiewicz (1996) were awarded the NCAA Walter Byers Scholarship. Barry is the first school among all divisions to have two winners
  • Barry has had eight NCAA Woman of the Year Finalists since 1996: Marya Morusiewicz (1996), Janina Morusiewicz (1998), Anna Hallbergson (2000), Victoria Courmes (2003), Melissa Lehman (2005), Greta Trotman (2006), Barbi Pocza (2011) and Grace Collins (2012)
  • Bill Reifsnider (Baseball), Cindy Yuan (volleyball), Victoria Courmes (tennis), Patrick Rittenauer (tennis), Shyla Rider (softball) and Grace Collins (softball) received NCAA post-graduate scholarships
  • Anna Hallbergson was named to the NCAA Division II 40th Anniversary Tribute Team

  • 11 NCAA Division II Championships, 3 in women’s soccer, 3 in volleyball, 2 in men’s golf, 2 in men’s tennis and 1 in women’s tennis
  • 261 All-Americans since 1984 in 13 different sports
  • 299 Scholar All-Americans since 1986 in 11 different sports
  • 139 NCAA post-season appearances since 1985
  • 52 Sunshine State Conference Championships in 13 different sports
  • #3 nationally in the NACDA Directors’ Cup in 1997-98
  • #1 Private institution in NCAA Division II in Director’s Cup competition in 1997-98 and 2000-01
  • #1 in Spring points in NCAA Division II in Director’s Cup competition in 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2012-13
  • Ranked in the top 50 in NCAA Division II NACDA Director’s Cup standings in 16 of the last 18 years
