Barry University to Host In-Person Commencement Ceremony

(MIAMI, FL) Barry University President Dr. Mike Allen today announced the University’s plans to host an in-person graduation ceremony at Marlins Park on May 10, 2021 at 10am.

The first major in-person University event in more than a year, the ceremony will honor Spring 2021 graduates as well as those who earned their degrees in May and December 2020, when pandemic conditions necessitated virtual degree conferrals.

“Graduation is a special time for our University community and I am thrilled that, pandemic conditions permitting, we will again send forth our graduates into the world during an in-person ceremony full of energy and the visible excitement at all that lies ahead with their Barry degree,” Dr. Allen wrote in his message to the community.

Due to capacity limits and physical distancing requirements, in-person attendance will be limited to graduates, their ticketed guests, and faculty, staff and Trustees participating in the ceremony. All attendees will be required to adhere to University health and safety protocols. The University will also stream the event live so all can join in marking this milestone moment for graduates.
