Stay virtually connected for life
Alumni are now able to stay connected to their alma mater for life via e-mail. Through a partnership between Alumni Relations and the Department of Information Technology, alums are now eligible to receive a lifetime e-mail address.
By contributing any amount greater than $35 to the Barry University Annual Fund, alumni become part of Membership Plus and the e-mail address is automatically generated. One e-mail address for life, it’s as simple as that.

More Ways to Get Involved
Big changes! New committees! More ways to get involved! The Alumni Association Board of Directors recently made significant changes to its committee structure providing for greater alumni participation. Committees now include Scholarship, Student, Young Alumni, Distinguished Alumni Awards and Barry Special Christmas. The changes allow alumni who are not currently serving as members of the Alumni Board of Directors to volunteer directly as members of the committees themselves.
“We look forward to greater involvement and engagement from our alumni,” said Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations Sean Kramer. “Our alumni bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will add invaluable depth to our committees.”

Alumni Association Partners with Northwestern Mutual
Barry University and Northwestern Mutual are pleased to announce the formation of a partnership to support and to build several campus programs and initiatives. The centerpiece of the partnership is a series of financial literacy workshops designed to educate individuals about money management and building a financial plan.
Additional program elements include Northwestern Mutual’s support of on-campus events such as student orientations, the “Senioritis” series, “Dinner for 10 Bucs,” career fairs and several traditional events such as the Barry Special Christmas, Distinguished Alumni Awards, Barry Goes to Broadway and Founders’ Ball.
Alumni will also be served under the partnership via financial literacy presentations, sponsorship of key Alumni Association events and the Barry Social Club. Faculty and staff will benefit from financial literacy workshops and Northwestern Mutual support of Alumni House receptions and Barry Pride Day.
“We are delighted to support Barry University in this way,” said Jason Auricchio, a Northwestern Mutual financial representative. “Northwestern Mutual has an enduring legacy of contributing to the communities in which we do business. We have found an excellent partner in Barry University as their history of academic excellence and community involvement has not only served the local community, but also those communities across the country who benefit from the instruction and the world perspective that the students gain during their time at Barry.”
The Barry University Alumni Association has gone digital.
