School of Business dean attends LEAP graduation ceremony

Tomislav Mandakovic, dean of the Andreas School of Business, recently attended the graduation ceremony of the 12th graduating class of the Ladies Empowerment & Action Program (LEAP) at the Homestead Correctional Institution.

The LEAP program provides entrepreneurship training and support to incarcerated women, preparing them to re-enter society and be economically independent. Ladies receive classroom instruction in entrepreneurship, career and business planning, the necessary skills and training to gain employment upon release, as well as the knowledge to create a small business.

Professor Anthony Sadler from the School of Business delivers the entrepreneurship and small business expertise courses to the ladies in the program.

This activity is one of the community services that the School of Business contributes as part of Barry University’s Core Commitments.
