Luis Tapanez

Upon graduating from Barry University, Luis Tapanes was promoted to a Program Management role within his organization. In this role, his responsibilities are to manage all aspects of the product delivery process. He also provides leadership and serves as the liaison between Senior Management and many of the organization's functional groups, including Product Development, Manufacturing, Verification & Validation, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Technical Communication, Purchasing and Distribution.

Tapanes recently affirmed the role Barry's MBA played in his promotion: "Without a doubt, I can safely say that my MBA experience was key in preparing me for this kind of responsibility. The level of understanding gained in the core areas of accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and operations have helped me position myself as a key contributor within my role in our organization. Not only did I gain understanding, I also developed better communication, teamwork, and leadership skills which have been of great use to me. As Carl Rodgers puts it, ‘The only man who is educated is the man who has learned to learn: the man who has learned how to adapt and change; the man who has realized that no knowledge is secure, that only the process of seeking knowledge gives a basis for security.'"
