The MSW 60-credit (Traditional) or 32-credit (Advanced Standing) program located in Miami serves as the main campus for the School of Social Work. As the largest of the 3 sites, this campus attracts students from across the country and all over the world. The Miami campus is also designed to serve residents in the surrounding Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Class scheduling is flexible, as the Miami campus offers weekday, evening, and weekend options. The class sizes are small with about 15 people in each, which allows for an implicit learning environment. Students have access to over 200 field education opportunities. Professional development and field seminars are offered periodically throughout the semester to support educational learning and career advancement. Support services are multi-layered, as students are assigned a faculty mentor, a field advisor, and have access to multiple supports including the Student Services Center, Career Center, and Library.
Students of the Miami Campus are very involved and influential with the community at large. Over the past year, the School of Social Work has worked with marginalized communities, spearheading initiatives in partnership with the LGBTQ+ community as well as other community coalitions that have never been addressed in this area. In addition, students are heavily involved in working to end poverty and improve racial/ethnic equality in the area.
The Miami campus offers the traditional college experience, featuring graduate housing, several dining options, a fitness center, as well as other amenities. It is conveniently located minutes from Miami Beach and is central to hundreds of stores and restaurants
