WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Former Barry University women's soccer player Emelie Karlsson was inducted into the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame.

Karlsson (Helsinki, Finland) played for the Buccaneers from 2002-05. She was a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American. She was a Second-Team All-American in 2002 and a Third-Team choice in 2004. Karlsson was a four-time First-Team All-South Region selection.

Karlsson is the only women's player in SSC history to be named the league's Offensive Player of the Year all four years of her career. She is also a three-time SSC Player of the Year recipient, and was the SSC Freshman of the Year in 2002.

Karlsson holds SSC and Barry career records for goals (75), points (199) and game-winning goals (25). She ranks second in SSC history with 49 career assists, and is Barry's all-time leader in that category.

She still ranks in the top 20 among NCAA Division II career leaders in points and assists.

Barry won four straight SSC regular season titles during Karlsson's career in Miami Shores.
