This leadership conference is a unique one-day experience that brings student leaders together from not only Barry University but from various universities across South Florida with a focus on developing the skills and knowledge needed to motivate and empower them to embrace social responsibility. Coming from a wide array of clubs and organizations, these student leaders will unite for a common mission – learning how to think and lead using principles, rooted in ethical values. Unlike many university student leadership conferences, this event focuses on social justice and global/world change.

We are very excited to announce the keynote speakers for the Spring Ethical Leadership Conference are Barry University’s own, Amy Diaz with Jason Case. Amy and Jason embarked on a sprint around the world on the 23rd season of CBS's reality program, The Amazing Race. After having six second-place finishes, Jason and Amy crossed the finish line in first place and won the one million dollar grand prize. They will be sharing their experiences along with multiple other outbreak session presenters exemplifying the theme for this year’s conference: You Can Win the Race Without Losing your Ethics!

Throughout the leadership conference, students will learn and understand that each of our daily actions, efforts, and prayers, whether it is within their organizations, respective positions, or classrooms, have a ripple effect that will exponentially affect our schools, our communities, and our world. Specifically, this conference will provide participants with a model for greater understanding of both individual and collaborative approaches to leadership development through the use of the 4 - V Ethical Leadership Model: Values, Voice, Vision, and Virtue.

50% of the proceeds from this year’s Ethical Leadership Conference will be donated to Amy Diaz’s partner charity, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
