Emma Onila Earns Her Third SSC Women's Tennis Player of Week Award

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Barry senior Emma Onila has been recognized for the third time this season as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week presented by VALIC.

 

Onila, who ranks seventh in singles play, returned to the top-ranked Buccaneers lineup after an injury and earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory over #8 Rollins’ 17th-ranked Elissa DeCampli. It is Onila’s sixth victory over a nationally ranked opponent this season. Teamed with Linda Fritschken, the sixth-ranked duo defeated the Tars’ Shannon Eten and Taylor Brown, 8-4, in doubles action.
