ADSOE graduate students present at ALER conference

Three students from the Adrian Dominican School of Education’s MS in Reading program were recently invited to be panelists for the Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers (ALER) Teacher Education Division meeting held during ALER’s annual conference in Delray Beach Fla.

Meredith Nardone, of the Coral Springs Reading cohort, and Cherylann Wineinger and Kristina Refolo, both of the Palm Beach Reading cohort, shared their experiences and expertise which prompted insightful discussion and thoughtful, informed responses to tough questions.

ALER exists to stimulate development and growth of teachers and reading specialists and to encourage the improvement of university curricula for teacher preparation. The Teacher Education Division is interested in teacher education practices at the undergraduate and graduate levels, promoting improvement of pre-service and in-service programs for literacy development.
