Join the 2015 BUC Walking Challenge today

The Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness invites the Barry Community to take the BUC Walking Challenge.

This year, CRW is taking the walking challenge up a notch and invites you to take on the task of walking 10,000 steps a day with #BUC300K. Whether you’re on a team or taking this challenge on as an individual, you won´t be alone when you embark on this journey.

The challenge starts October 15, 2015, so get your teams registered!

WHAT IS THE #BUC300K?

It is a walking challenge looking for commitments and not just applications. It involves:

  • 30 days of physical activity measured in steps taken and daily challenges met to increase activity levels.
  • Use one of our pedometers (device used to count number of steps taken) or download a fitness application of your choice to track your steps.
  • Challenge yourself to 10,000 steps a day and contribute to your team’s climb to the top.

WHAT IS THE NEXT 'STEP'?

  • Form a team of four (4) people and designate a team leader.  Current student, staff or faculty are the only ones authorized to register. Individual entrees will be grouped with others to form a team.
  • Payment and registration can be made in the Campus Recreation and Wellness office (Landon 112). Team captains are required to return REGISTRATION PACKETS to the office. The fees are as follows:
