Neighborhood Technical Assistance Grant Student Internships Available

The purpose of the Neighborhood Technical Assistance (NTA) Grant Student Internship is to provide critical social work services to vulnerable individuals, families and communities linked to the Miami Children’s Initiative and Charles R. Drew Elementary School. Selected full-time students will be assigned to the internship site for SW 675 and SW 689 beginning in spring 2016. Under the clinical guidance of a licensed professional, students will provide counseling services to children and families. Students will also conduct community education workshops. Selected students will receive a stipend from the NTA Grant.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Concentration year or advanced-standing status
  • Full-time status
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Able to be at the internship site on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Note: a Saturday may be required in order to conduct the community education workshops
