Barry students take second place during annual student case competition

Barry students in the Master of Science in Health Service Administration (MSHSA) and Master of Science in Health Service Administration and Public Health (MSHSA-MPH) dual degree programs recently took second place at the annual South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF) Student Case Competition.

The competition, sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), took place at Holy Cross Hospital.

Barry’s student team — which included Amit Parmar, Vishkarma Deonarine, Idell Gayman, Abdulrahman Alsaeed, Nadine Chammout and Andrea Barton — presented their selected case study before a panel of health care executives. The panel included Diana Salinas, chief compliance and ethics officer at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach; Dr. Angela R. Burrafato, MHA, medical director of South Florida, Aetna; and Mark R. Dissette, senior vice president and Aadministrator of HealthPlex.

Congratulations to our students for their hard work and dedication.
