Sport & Exercise Sciences announces new, redesigned master’s programs

Barry University’s Sport & Exercise Science department is now offering redesigned master’s degree programs.   

The Movement Sciences master’s degree has now become the master’s in Human Performance and Wellness degree. This program offers three-degree options:

  • Human Performance and Wellness
  • Human Performance and Wellness with a specialization in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology
  • Dual Degree in Human Performance and Wellness with a specialization in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology and a master’s in Business Administration.

The Human Performance and Wellness degree combines the principles and practices of physical performance and healthy lifestyles. The curriculum provides a foundation in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, and wellness. It will provide students with the tools and skills needed to analyze performance and make recommendations for improvement in wellness, fitness, injury prevention, and mental preparation.
